I made this a few days ago and have been thinking over posting it. Ultimately I decided it was the right thing to do and here’s why. ED’s are a serious problem and deserve to be taken seriously. Just like we learn about nutrition and fitness we need to learn about mental health and awareness too. ED’s are not a joke, not something you try on for a while, and my hope is that we can bring them to the forefront of the Tumblr conversation.

Personally, as someone who has faced this and recovered I’m not ashamed to share what I’ve gone through and what I’ve learned if it will help others. Today I live as healthily as possible, eating right and exercising but it was a long 6 year journey to get to this point. The next time you tag “pro ana” “pro mia” or any other “promotion” or glamorization of a devastating disorder please remember this post.
