This is a log of every running workout I’ve done since I started training 5 weeks ago. I started as a complete and total newbie to running doing intervals of 1 minute running & 4 minutes walking and today am up to running 2.25 miles straight! 6 years ago I had reconstructive knee surgery to fix a chronically dislocating kneecap and I’ve been recovering ever since. Running was something I honestly never thought I would be able to do yet I’m here today running, getting stronger, faster and pushing myself further with each workout. I’ll never be a marathon runner but this has inspired me to do the things I thought impossible.
If you are struggling with an injury like me, the most important thing I can tell you is listen to your body, do not demand it to do what it can’t do. Trying to do what you’re not ready for will only get you hurt so learn the difference between pain that is your body getting stronger and pain that is your body getting hurt!
Here is the interval plan I started with!
